Ruby is a molly mule that is being ridden by Paula Juergens on endurance rides.
As per a report on their first race held in Millican, OR October 29th & 30th, 2005 she did WONDERFUL!
She would have finished 7th or 8th place but couldn't see it in her heart to stand still long enough to let one of the vets take her pulse and clear her for a final completion time. It took about 30 minutes, so several teams that were actually behind their finish time got pushed in ahead of Paula & Ruby and that dropped them back to 15th place.
This mule not only is doing Endurance Races, it is in her future to be doing team penning, cow sorting and English Performance.
