CVC's Annual Poker Ride 2005

This year the weather forcast was for rain on Saturday, which is fine as long as it only rains the day before the actual ride. You know there are those riders that do not want to get wet. Well, there was rain on Saturday, but someone was looking out for us because we did not get the rain, hail, T-storm the northern part of the state was getting. We did get a nice shower during the night, but that just made for keeping the dust down and by afternoon on Sunday you would not have known it had even rained. With the weather cooler it made for a pleasent day of riding.
As always there was way too much food for dinner and so many good cooks. Not sure how many made it for breakfast but they enjoyed bacon, eggs, hashbrowns & pancakes, cooked by the famous "Wright" family chefs.
There was a somewhat smaller crowd this year but tons of prizes. The cash prize of $100 for high hand went to Cheyenne Smith of Colton, OR and the $50 for low hand went to Patty Stodola, well the name on the hand was Joe's but I drew all the cards.
This is the 8th year CVC has hosted this ride. This year we donated 50% of the net profit to Colton OHSET.
