Annual Campout 2005

This year the campout was held again in the Camp Sherman area along Canyon Creek.
We had a small group that attended but as always had a good weekend. The weather was hot, the trails dusty but the company was great! I think this is a first that we actually had all mules.
Friday was spent setting up camp for most. After the drive over and getting things in order, it was nice to just set back with a cold one.........or more. Not much riding was done on that day.
Saturday after breakfast everyone saddled up and we went for a ride to Sheep Springs. It was an enjoyable ride, guided by Don & Gerry Jimmerson of Sisters. After the ride there was time to clean up and as cold as the water was in Canyon Creek it felt good to wash the dust from the trail off. After an enjoyable potluck dinner, with more food then we could eat, time was spent around the "make-believe" campfire visiting.
Sunday was a lazy day, after everyone had breakfast a few (3) went for a short ride before packing up the gear and mules to head home.
Until next year Happy Trails to all
